Internet Safety Guide for Parents & Children

Internet Safety Guide for Parents & Children

Do you know what ASL means? Internet Lingo continutes to evolve, and we all need to pay attention to this language that kids speak (type). A tip of the hat to one of our website visitors, a teacher, who sent in an article from the Hosting Reviews & Customer Ratings Website. It is a collection of over 25 sites that address everything from Cyber Fraud to Safety Tips for Teens.  One particulary great tip is a link to Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne’s Internet Safety Guide for Parents. Great graphics, easy to read, timely – we highly recommend it. And BTW (by the way), ASL stands for Age, Sex, Location and is lingo typically used in chat rooms to find kids that might be vulnerable to meeting and grooming.

Lots of great stuff here, just remember when you click on various sites there are some ads and pop-ups. Remember that clicking on pop ups gives those advertisers browsing history about you. We went through all of the links and they appear to be safe, for instance one is the FBI’s Internet Safety Guide.

Great resources to share – check them out.
